What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites function properly, improve user experience, and provide information to website operators.

First-party cookies are set by ProposalWorkspace (the website you are visiting). Third-party cookies are set by other services that we use to operate the platform (such as our authentication and payment providers). We also use similar technologies such as local storage and session storage, which function similarly to cookies for storing data in your browser.

02

Why we use cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

  • Authentication: To verify your identity when you log in and maintain your authenticated session as you navigate the platform.
  • Security: To protect your account and detect potentially unauthorized access or suspicious activity, including a random device identifier (pw_did, kept up to 12 months) that helps stop repeated free-trial sign-ups.
  • Preferences: To remember your interface preferences (such as sidebar state or theme selection) so you have a consistent experience across sessions.
  • Functionality: To enable core platform features that require client-side data storage.

Advertising

We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site profiling. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website (pages viewed, referring site, device type, approximate location). Analytics cookies are set by default, and you can opt out at any time in Section 6 of this page.

03

Types of cookies we use

Cannot be disabled

Essential cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the platform to function. They enable core features like user authentication, session management, and security protections. Without these cookies, you cannot log in or use the platform.

Can be disabled in your browser

Functionality cookies

These cookies remember your preferences and settings to provide a better user experience. For example, they may store your preferred sidebar state, last-visited workspace, or interface preferences. The platform will still work without these, but some personalization features may be unavailable.

Can be disabled

Performance cookies

We use internal analytics to understand how users interact with the platform, which features are most used, and where users encounter issues. This data is collected through our own systems and through Google Analytics 4 (unless you opt out, see Section 6). It is used solely to improve the Service. No personally identifying information is shared with external parties for analytics purposes.

05

Third-party cookies

When you use certain features of our platform, third-party services may set their own cookies:

  • Stripe (Payment Processing): When you visit our checkout or payment pages, Stripe may set cookies necessary to process your payment securely and prevent fraud. These cookies are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Supabase (Authentication): Our authentication provider sets essential cookies to manage your login session securely.
  • Google Analytics (Website Analytics): Google Analytics 4 sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions (unless you opt out, see Section 6). Google processes this data under its Privacy Policy. You can also opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

We do not allow advertising cookies from any third party. The only third-party analytics service we use is Google Analytics, and you can opt out of it at any time (Section 6).

06

Managing your cookie preferences

You can control and manage cookies through your web browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View what cookies are stored and delete individual cookies.
  • Block all cookies or only third-party cookies.
  • Configure the browser to notify you when a cookie is set.
  • Clear all cookies when you close the browser.

Please note that if you disable essential cookies, you will not be able to log in or use the ProposalWorkspace platform, as these cookies are required for authentication and session management.

Analytics cookies: Google Analytics cookies are set by default. You can opt out for this browser with the button below (we then stop loading Google Analytics on this device), or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on linked in Section 5.

Analytics cookies are currently allowed on this browser.
