WEST DARTMOUTH AVENUE MULTIMODAL SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

The City of Englewood will receive sealed bids for supplying Construction Services as per specifications no later than December 1, 2026, 2PM MST. The City's objective is to award this contract to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder, pre-qualified with CDOT prior to submitting bid, to provide all labor, materials, traffic control, and equipment necessary to construct the West Dartmouth Avenue Multimodal Safety Improvements Project and other improvements as detailed in the attached drawings and specifications included as part of this Invitation to Bid.

This project aims to improve safety and accessibility by modifying the West Dartmouth corridor at Tejon Street. The project will seek to improve the corridor for alternative forms of transportation such as bicycling, walking, and bus transit. The project will modify the existing pavement markings to implement bike lanes, reconstruct curb ramps throughout the corridor to make them ADA compliant, replace the traffic signals at Tejon Street, and add improved street lighting.

The Contractor is responsible for obtaining all required permits prior to commencement of any work on the project.

The contractor shall limit their work to between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm., Monday through Friday except City holidays. Any other times of work shall be by approval of the Project Engineer.

**Submission:** Sealed bids (**electronic submissions only**) will be received and accepted online via the City of Englewood's Online Procurement System. Late bids will not be accepted under any circumstance. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at **2:00 P.M.** on **December 1, 2026**.

**Bid bond:** There is a **5%** bid bond required for this project. Each Bid shall be accompanied by an appropriate guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check or Cashier's Check made payable to the City of Englewood in an amount of not less than 5% of the bid amount.

**Performance bond:** The awarded Contractor will be required to have ready and furnish a "Performance Bond" in the amount of **100%** executed by a surety company acceptable to the City of Englewood within 10 days of Notice of Award.

**Award:** The City's objective is to award this contract to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. Any contract greater than $250,000 dollars is subject to approval by the City Council.

Insurance:

• Commercial General Liability Insurance - $3,000,000 each occurrence with $3,000,000 general aggregate.
• Products and Completed Operations Insurance - $1,000,000 each occurrence with $2,000,000 general aggregate.
• Comprehensive Automobile Liability Insurance - Combined single limit of $2,000,000 each occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate.
• Workers Compensation - With coverage amounts imposed by the Workers Compensation Act of Colorado.
