What the bid is for

Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS), also referred to as the district, is soliciting proposals through this Request for Proposals (RFP) from qualified respondents to provide special needs and general passenger school buses for student transportation.

The District seeks a qualified Contractor to establish a multiyear contract for student transportation school buses. Over the contract term, the District anticipates procuring multiple 48- to 54-passenger special-needs buses and 72-passenger general-use buses.

Scope

Attached to this request for proposals (RFP) are two appendices containing specifications for each bus type. Offerors must review, complete, and return these appendices with their proposals.

Warranty service must be performed at Transportation (939 Goza Road, Fayetteville, GA) unless the repair cannot be performed by a mobile technician.

Deliveries will be made to the Goza Road Operations Center, 939 Goza Road, Fayetteville, GA 30215, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (ET). Deliveries must be coordinated with the bus shop supervisor by calling 770-460-3520 at least 48 hours prior to delivery.

The District anticipates ordering approximately 15 buses each year—a combination of special-needs and general-passenger buses—across a 5-year period. The District intends to place annual orders in late fall or early winter of each calendar year for delivery of buses to occur before the last week of school in May.
