RESTORATIVE PRACTICES & JUSTICE TRAINING

The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) is seeking a vendor to train district and school staff to develop an understanding of Restorative Justice practices, including learning the fundamental theory and practices for engaging with students, staff, and parents in your school setting.

Scope of Work

• Vendor shall provide Training sessions for both Level 1 and Level 2 as described below:
• Level 1 training for restorative practices
• For up to 45 participants in each training cohort
• Each session shall include 2 full days of training
• WCPSS anticipates the need for five (5) Level 1 training sessions
• Level 2 training for restorative practices - training Central Services staff to become trainers of restorative practices and implementing restorative practice elements in schools
• For up to 10 participants in each training cohort
• Each session shall include 3 full days of training
• WCPSS anticipates the need for three (3) Level 2 sessions
• Level 1 training for restorative justice conference - so staff can provide this level of support in schools
• For up to 45 participants in each training cohort
• Each session shall include 2 full days of training
• WCPSS anticipates the need for five (5) Level 1 training sessions
• Level 2 training for restorative justice conference - training trainers to develop these skills in schools
• For up to 10 participants in each training cohort
• Each session shall include 3 full days of training
• WCPSS anticipates the need for three (3) Level 2 sessions
• All sessions shall be held in-person at a WCPSS location
• The number of anticipated training sessions is subject to change
• Vendor to provide all training and materials, and coordinate all travel of training staff.
• Vendor shall provide follow-up as needed to ensure fidelity of implementation
• Training sessions are intended to beheld between November 2026 and June 2027

WCPSS intends to award a one-year contract pursuant to this RFP. WCPSS reserves the right to renew the award for two additional one-year terms at the same cost at the discretion of the district, and based on available funding.

Factors often considered include qualifications, relevant experience, fee, and ability to perform work in a timely manner.

WCPSS reserves the right to require performance bond or other acceptable alternative guarantees from successful bidder without expense to WCPSS.

Certificates of Insurance acceptable to WCPSS shall be filed with WCPSS prior to commencement of the Work.
