Half-Ton Pickup Trucks

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE CITY OF ABILENE WILL RECEIVE SEALED, WRITTEN BIDS IN THE OFFICE OF THE PURCHASING ADMINISTRATOR, P.O. BOX 60, 555 WALNUT STREET, ROOM 201-A, CITY HALL, ABILENE, TEXAS 79601 UNTIL 2:00 P.M. ON THE 18TH DAY OF NOVEMBER A.D., 2026 FOR: BID #CB-2719.

- Half-ton pickup trucks, as per specifications.

It is the intent of this document to describe in sufficient detail a Half-Ton Pickup Truck specifications for which are noted herein, to be equipped and configured as shown on the manufacturer's current specification sheet, unless otherwise stated.

Model bid is to be an extended cab, 2WD, Standard (6.5) foot bed, 1/2-ton pickup. State make and model bid.

Chassis and interior

• Please state GVWR.
• Please state maximum towing capacity.
• Limited slip differential or traction assist.
• Twelve (12) volt power point outlet.
• Forty/Twenty/Forty (40/20/40) front row seating.
• Heavy-duty cloth seats matching interior trim color.
• Tilt steering wheel.
• Factory air conditioning and heating system.
• Hands-free communication system.
• Backup Camera
• AM/FM radio.
• Left and right outside power adjustable mirrors to provide clear visibility along sides and rear of vehicle.
• Left and right-side slip-resistant entry steps.
• Towing package with auxiliary transmission oil cooler and seven (7) pin wiring harness.
• Trailer brake controller.
• Upfitter switches located in cab with four (4) switch capability.
• Removable heavy-duty, all-weather rubber floor mats are to be provided for all seating positions.
• Rubber or vinyl floor covering throughout the entire interior floor. Carpeting is not acceptable.

Engine, transmission

- Automatic transmission.

Other requirements

• Operator and passenger front airbag.
• Minimum 2 sets of Keyless entry keys

Paint and exterior finish

- The vehicle exterior is to be painted at the factory with RPO white paint. After-market paint and paint application is not acceptable.

• One (1) full-size spare wheel and tire that is identical in size and design to the other four (4) wheels and tires.

• Low-profile Crossover Toolbox matching factory RPO white paint
• Low-profile Side mount toolbox passenger side mounted matching factory RPO white paint

• 41" LED signal stick w/controller waterproof amber and dual-head mini bar clear Lense amber light installed on top of headache rack or combined amber light and directional arrow. Lights cannot be magnetic and no holes in the cab/chassis

Delivery

• Unit(s) is to be delivered to the Fleet Analysts at the City of Abilene Fleet facility located at 898 Sandy Street, Abilene, Texas 79601.
• Payment will be made by the City of Abilene within thirty (30) days of full acceptance.

ALL BIDS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN SEALED ENVELOPES, BEARING ON THE OUTSIDE THE NAME OF THE BIDDER, HIS ADDRESS, THE NAME OF THE PROJECT AND THE BID NUMBER. ANY BIDS RECEIVED AFTER SCHEDULED CLOSING TIME FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS WILL BE MARKED "RECEIVED LATE" AND RETURNED TO THE SENDER.

BIDS WILL BE OPENED AND READ ALOUD IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE CLOSING DEADLINE IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CITY HALL.

THE CITY OF ABILENE WILL AWARD THE CONTRACT TO THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER THAT MEETS SPECIFICATIONS. THE CITY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY OR ALL BIDS.

This bid is valid for 60 days unless otherwise stated. All bids must be quoted F.O.B. Abilene. This bid must include freight unless otherwise stated.

The bidder is to respond in writing under the FURNISHED COLUMN to all numbered items. Bids will be rejected if the bid is incomplete or if required signatures are missing.
