What the bid is for

The Texas General Land Office ("GLO") issues this Invitation for Bids ("IFB") to solicit bids for the removal and disposal of debris from the Quintana Beach jetty.

Debris associated with a Central Texas flooding event traveled down the Brazos River into coastal waters and subsequently accumulated on the jetty due to tides and currents. The accumulated debris poses a threat to public health and safety and must be safely removed and properly disposed of.

Scope

The scope of work consists of the removal and disposal of approximately 1200 yards of vegetative debris along the jetty. Representative photos of the debris are provided as Exhibit B. All debris must be removed manually. A GLO representative will be on-site to assist with identification of debris and coordination of removal of debris and final inspection.

Bid shall include all labor, materials, tools, supplies, equipment, superintendence, insurance, and personnel, including, but not limited to, travel expenses, associated costs and incidental costs necessary to provide the products and services per the minimum specifications, requirements, provisions, terms, and conditions set forth in this IFB.

Special Instructions

  • Bidder must have a minimum of five years of experience performing the type of work described in the Solicitation. Bidder shall include with the bid a summary that provides specific support for meeting the minimum qualification. Bidders that do not meet this minimum qualification may not be considered for award.
  • Bidder must provide one point of contact for the project who will coordinate removal, disposal, and any other related duties with the GLO.
  • Site must be secured from the public while work is being performed.
