The City of Bridgeport seeks bids for John Winthrop Elementray School Phase 2 - Construction (Bid Packages 1.09 -1.15).

The Invitation to Bid (ITB) is to obtain pricing information for John Winthrop Elementray School Phase 2 - Construction (Bid Packages 1.09 -1.15)

The selected awardee must meet all municipal, State and Federal practices and requirements.

The City of Bridgeport seeks bids for John Winthrop Elementary School Phase 2 – Renovation & Additions. [...] Packages include but are not limited to: [...] Bidders must provide DAS Certification and Update Statement with submission.

The contractor will be responsible for the safety of the work site.

The contractor shall be responsible for obtaining and paying for any and all permits as required.

Submission method:** THIS IS NOT AN ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSION. **PAPER ONLY.** (1) ORIGINAL, TWO (2) COPIES AND ONE (1) ELECTRONIC VIA THUMBDRIVE MUST BE SUBMITTED. Sealed submissions must be received and time-stamped by the Department of Public Purchases prior to ITB closing time. **Due Tuesday, November 17, 2026 no later than 2:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Include with the submitted bid, a ten percent (10%) bid bond or a certified check made payable to the City of Bridgeport with its bid submission if the bid is $100,000.00.

The successful bidder, prior to Notice to Proceed, will be required to provide Payment & Performance bonds of 100% of the contract price if the contract price is in excess of $100,000.

Certificates of Insurance will be required from the awarded contractor prior to the commencement of any work [...] and must be shown as issued to the City of Bridgeport as additional insured with thirty (30) day notice for cancellation or non-renewal of policy.

This project is covered by a Project Labor Agreement and is open to all bidders.

Bids in excess of $100,000 must include Prevailing Wage Rates.

The City of Bridgeport reserves the right to award a purchase order to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the City of Bridgeport in terms of cost.
