What the bid is for

Walton County is requesting competitive quotations from qualified contractors for the removal and replacement of the existing internal/concealed gutter system at the DeFuniak Springs Courthouse, including associated materials, equipment, installation, waterproofing, and restoration necessary to complete the work.

Walton County is requesting written quotations from qualified, licensed, and insured contractors for the complete removal and replacement of the existing internal/concealed gutter system at the three-story DeFuniak Springs Courthouse in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

Scope

The scope of work includes the entire existing gutter system serving the courthouse, including all associated gutter components, liners, flashing, outlets, connections, and related drainage components necessary to provide a complete, properly functioning system.

Contractors shall evaluate existing conditions, verify field dimensions and quantities, determine necessary access and removal methods, and provide a complete lump-sum quotation for the removal, replacement, installation, waterproofing, and restoration associated with the work.

The completed system shall provide durable, watertight drainage designed to direct stormwater away from the building and prevent water intrusion, deterioration, and damage to the courthouse structure and interior.

The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, permits, disposal services, and incidental items necessary to complete the project, including but not limited to the following:

  • Carefully remove the entire existing internal/concealed gutter system serving the courthouse, including all components necessary to complete the full replacement.
  • Furnish and install a complete new internal/concealed gutter system throughout the courthouse, replacing the entire existing system and ensuring compatibility with the building's existing roof drainage configuration.
  • Remove and replace disturbed flashing, sealants, waterproofing, and related components necessary to complete a watertight installation.
  • Restore all areas directly disturbed by the contractor's work to a condition consistent with the surrounding existing finishes.

The contractor shall identify the proposed gutter material, manufacturer, product specifications, warranty information, and installation method in the quotation.

An itemized breakdown of the total quotation shall also be provided.

This amount shall represent the total base quotation used for price comparison and award consideration.

Prospective quoters are strongly encouraged to inspect the existing gutter system at the DeFuniak Springs Courthouse prior to submitting their quotations. Site visits shall be coordinated through Walton County Purchasing and conducted with Chris Edwards, Assistant Director of Facilities Maintenance, or his designee.

Written workmanship warranty of at least one (1) year from final acceptance, unless a longer period is offered or required by contract.
