Jail Roof Replacement

The Mitchell County Board of Commissioners is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the purpose of removing and replacing roofing on a flat roof at the jail.

The successful bidder will be expected to provide a high-quality roofing to meet the specifications set forth by the owner.

Mitchell County Board of Commissioners is a local government that provides governmental services to the citizens of Mitchell County.

The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials and management to remove and replace the roofing to the specifications outlined. The contractor will also be bonded and insured. The contractor has to be licensed in the State of Georgia.

Specifications

• The area is approximately 12,000 Sq Ft with multiple layers of old roofing materials.
• Work consists of removing multiple layers of old roofing systems down to the concrete deck.
• Removal of the existing drip edge around the entire perimeter.
• Install a full 1/8” tapered ISO system to ensure proper water flow and drainage to the roofs perimeters.
• Fully adhere white 50 MIL Dura-Last Duro-Tuff PVC Single ply membrane or equivalent throughout the entire roof surface.
• Installs curbs around all A/C units and penetrations.
• Install new Dura-Last Boots or equivalent around all pipe penetrations.
• Terminate around all edges with the termination bar into existing gutters.
• Must provide a 20-year warranty or greater No Dollar Limit (NDL) from manufacture covering material and labor.
• Must meet all applicable building codes.

To be considered, respondents to this RFP must submit a timely, written proposal that fully address all questions and requirements.

Submit two (2) hard copies of the proposal to Mitchell County Board of Commissioners, Attn: Gary Rice, 5201 Hwy 19 South, Camilla, Ga. 31730. Submissions received after **5:00 PM on November 12th, 2026** will not be considered.

Provide 3 references of buildings / jobs. These references should include type of roofing and size.

The contractor will also be bonded and insured.
