JD Cope / DC UPS System

Dalton Utilities requests bids from qualified manufacturers and suppliers for the engineering, manufacture, testing, documentation, delivery, and specified field services for a complete DC/UPS system at the J.D. Cope Energy Facility. The attached Technical Specification 197347.5.5430, Rev. 0, including the equipment datasheets, governs the technical scope.

The Project consists of a new electrical power generation plant utilizing 3 – 18.522MW Reciprocating Engines totaling an output of 55.566MW.

Scope

The Work of this Purchase Order includes but is not limited to the following:

• Design, fabricate, and deliver DDP, specified "Point of Delivery" for the following equipment as required to meet the temperature requirements defined in Purchase Order Documents:
• One (1) 125 VDC station battery with racks and spill containment
• One (1) 125 VDC nominal, 250 VDC-rated battery fused disconnect switch
• One (1) 125 VDC nominal, 250 VDC-rated station battery load test non-fused disconnect switch
• Two (2) redundant paralleling battery chargers
• One (1) inverter with static transfer switch
• One (1) manual bypass switch
• One (1) isolation transformer/voltage regulator
• One (1) 125 VDC nominal, 250 VDC-rated switchboard
• One (1) battery monitoring system (meets NERC PRC-005-06)
• One (1) battery lifting device
• Two (2) 120VAC-rated Panelboards
• Two (2) 125 VDC nominal, 250VDC-rated Panelboards
• All Work shall be designed to meet the design data specified in Appendix 01 11 04-A Site Design Conditions.
• Provide submittals per Appendix 01 33 04-A.
• Provide submittals and Equipment Data Books as defined in Section 01 33 04.
• Performance of Manufacturer's Field Services as specified in Section 01 75 04.
• Spare parts, special tools, lubricants, and consumables as specified in 1.03.
• The Goods furnished under this Purchase Order shall be designed for indoor installation and storage.

Spare parts, special tools, hardware, lubricants, and other consumables required for complete installation and commissioning shall be provided by Supplier. These shall be delivered to Site with the Goods being provided under this Purchase Order.

The anticipated life that is required for Equipment and Materials furnished is 30 years. Continuous operation will be required for the anticipated life with minimum scheduled downtime for inspections and maintenance.

Supplier shall provide a list of manufacturer's recommended spare parts for: 1) first two (2) years of operation; 2) installation and commissioning; 3) capital spares (spares not subject to wear). These lists shall be included with Supplier's proposal and shall also be provided during execution as a formal submittal.
