Jones County Sheriff's Office Roof Recover

The Jones County Board of Commissioners is seeking sealed proposals from qualified firms to Perform a roof recover at the Jones County Sheriff's office located at 123 Holms Hawkins Dr. Gray, Georgia 31032.

Jones County certifies that competitive sealed proposals will be submitted in response to this RFP. All proposals submitted pursuant to this request will be made in accordance with the provisions of this RFP.

Mandatory requirements

• All portions of the roofing system must be in compliance with the drawings and specifications for the project.
• Provide Base Costs along with the requested Alternates and Unit Pricing shown in Appendix A of the Bid Forms.
• Successful bidders must provide a "turnkey job." Price offered should include all labor and materials to complete the entire project.
• Offerors shall include an estimated timeline of events including tear-off, deliveries, beginning installations, and completion date.
• The successful Offeror will be responsible for managing the site and coordinating all construction activities in cooperation with Jones County.
• The successful Offeror shall keep the work site and surrounding area free from accumulation of waste materials and debris during this project. Once project is complete, all debris and garbage must be removed from the building.

Submission

Proposals are due **Dec. 21, 2026, 3:30 pm**. E-Verify and Bid Number must be printed (written) on outside of proposal envelope. **Mandatory** pre-bid site visit: Offerors who fail to participate in the mandatory Pre-Bid site visit will not be considered for award.

Bonds

• Bid Bond: Not less than ten percent (10%) of the total contract amount.
• Performance and Payment Bonds: One hundred percent (100%) of the total contract amount.

• Experience: Experience in similar projects 10 Points
• Schedule: Proposed Start and Duration of the project. 20 Points
• Cost: Fees for providing full scope of work 40 Points
• References: 5 Points
• Local Preference 25 Points
• Total 100 Points

Insurance

Proof of insurance shall be provided within fifteen (15) business days from the date of notification to the Offeror. Commercial general liability: not less than $1,000,000 each occurrence, $2,000,000 aggregate.
