Chicago Public Schools - Department of Procurement invites bids for Camras ES Playground Surface Replacement (Playground Surface Layer) at Camras ES, 3000 N Mango Ave Chicago IL 60634. This bid is open to the contracted pre-qualified pool for Various Trades only.

• Complete recap surface system including filling and leveling existing holes and areas to receive new layer using CPS Specifications
• Color to be determined by the school wear layer
• Contractor to provide safety barrier/fence during construction
• The contractor should provide after hours security until the new PIP is cured so that we don't get anyone ruining the surface once they leave.
• Contractor to secure necessary permits.
• Contractor to field verify dimensions and specifics of all projects listed above before placing a bid.
• Not responsible for contractor errors as a result of non-field verification.
• Materials and installation must comply with CPS Standards and Specifications as listed on SECTION 32 18 16 PLAYGROUND PROTECTIVE SURFACING
• Secure job site overnight if work is not completed in one day.
• If building or CPS properties are damaged during construction, contractor to replace and/or repair as necessary.
• Provide necessary labor and materials to fix/correct issues preventing any or all of the projects to be marked as completed.
• All work shall be coordinated with the Board authorized representatives to complete in an agreed upon time frame.
• The contractor is to remove and dispose of materials torn out and any construction debris.
• All trash must be removed off-site by the contractor
• Clean the surrounding area and make sure all is swept of debris.

Bids must be submitted online through EUNA/Bonfire.

Bid Cover Sheet must be completed in its entirety, signed, and dated.

All work is to be performed during normal working hours.

Warranty information, when applicable, is required with your bid submission.

• $25,000 or more bid price: Bidder must be signatory to relevant union, per the terms of Bidder’s contract and applicable Project Labor Agreement(s).
• $25,000 or more bid price: Bidder must provide a Bid Bond equal to 5% of the bid price from Bidder’s surety company.
• $50,000 or more bid price: Bidder must include in their Bid the premium cost for the Payment and Performance Bond in the full amount of their contract. If Bidder fails to furnish the performance bond within seven (7) days after acceptance of the Bidder’s Bid by the Board, the Bid acceptance may be rescinded and the Bidder may be precluded from further Bidding with the Board.
• $75,000 or more bid price, Bidder must complete relevant MBE/WBE at time of bid, even if Bidder is self-performing.

All bonds must be issued by a surety acceptable to the Board and Licensed by the State of Illinois.
