Snow Removal at Wichita Public Libraries

The City of Wichita is seeking bids from firm(s) for Snow Removal at Wichita Public Libraries for the Public Works & Utilities Department/Facilities Division.

The purpose of this bid is to provide snow removal services to City of Wichita public libraries, clearing parking lots and walkway access around and to the facility of hazardous snow and ice buildup by use of industry standard methods (ice and snow melt but no salt around any vegetation, shoveling etc.).

Contractor will be responsible to remove excessive product that is left behind after the event has passed. Sidewalks, entryways and parking lots need to be cleared before staff arrive when the timing of the winter weather event would reasonably allow as to allow safe entry to the parking lots and the facility. When winter weather occurs during business hours that would require removal/treatment all safety precautions while working around an open facility need to be taken to ensure the safety of public and city staff. These areas will need to remain clear and properly treated during business hours.

Please provide a flat rate, per occurrence quote, for winter events of less than 2 inches that will require removal and or treatment; provide a flat rate, per occurrence quote for winter events that accumulate 2-6 inches; and a flat rate, per occurrence quote for 6+ inches for each facility.

Contractor will provide all materials and labor needed for safe and proper treatment and removal of all snow and ice.

Bids are to be submitted through the City’s Procurement Portal (wichita.gov/procurementportal) using a secure login/password. Bids will be received prior to **10:00 A.M., Friday, November 13, 2026**.

Bid Award will be based on the Lowest and Best Total Net Bid from a Responsible and Responsive vendor.

Bids submitted may not be withdrawn for a period of 60 days following the opening of this Request for Bid.

The term of this contract shall be for a one (1) year period with two (2) one (1) year options to renew under the same terms and conditions by mutual agreement of both parties.

The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Certificate of Insurance (prior to the Purchase Order, Agreement, or Contract being issued) with the following minimum coverage:

• Commercial General Liability: $1,000,000 Each Occurrence, $2,000,000 Annual Aggregate
• Comprehensive Automobile Liability: $1,000,000 Each Occurrence
• Workers' Compensation to meet Statutory requirements.
• Employers Liability: $1,000,000 Each Accident
