The Contract Documents may be examined in the 7th Floor Conference Room, 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, New York 14203 or on the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website at www.nftaengineering.com. Copies of the Contract Documents are available for **$0**.

The Contractor shall perform not less than 50% of the Work with its own forces.

The time of completion for the project is **365 calendar days** after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.

**Online registration is required** to become a Document Holder and obtain Contract Documents.

Bid security must accompany each bid and must be in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid price if the base bid exceeds **$50,000.00**. Bid security may be submitted prior to bid opening either electronically utilizing Surety2000 at www.surety2000.com, or delivered to the NFTA in an opaque sealed envelope. Details for electronic submission are provided on the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website. In the event a bidder utilizes an offline bid but provides bid security electronically the electronic bid bond number must be submitted with the offline bid.

The NFTA reserves the right to waive irregularities, to reject any or all bids and to extend the bidding period.

Liquidated damages will be assessed against the Contractor for its failure to complete the project within the time specified as described in Technical Specification Section 011100 “Summary of Work”.
