AI2C Building Renovation Commissioning Services

This is a readvertisement. The college is seeking request for qualifications for building and building systems Commissioning Services for our AI2C building renovation project. The project is for renovation of an existing warehouse building on the main campus to create the Applied Industrial Artificial Intelligence Center of North Carolina. The building size is approximately 25,000 square feet and is an unoccupied, unconditioned space constructed of CMU block walls, interior steel frame over a concrete slab floor with a built-up roof system.

The objective is to create classroom and lab space for AI programs, including AI research and development labs, Agri business, building trades and customized training.

This selected firm will provide oversight and quality assurance from design development through construction and owner occupancy to ensure the building envelope and building systems are designed, installed, tested, and performing according to the owner's project requirements.

Submission

Submit **THREE (3)** copies of the *Letter of Interest* and *SF-254* to Randolph Community College, c/o David Richardson, 629 Industrial Park Avenue, Asheboro, NC 27205 (mailing and physical delivery for Fed Ex/UPS). **E-mail and Fax submittals will not be accepted.**

The submitted information package should not include any notebooks, binders, tab, clips, etc. The format should be 8-1/2" x 11" pages stapled in the upper left-hand corner. The *Letter of Interest* should not exceed ten (10) single-sided pages or five (5) double-sided pages plus the SF 254.

Selection criteria

• Specialized or appropriate expertise in the type of project.
• Past performance on similar projects.
• Adequate staff and proposed design or consultant team for the project.
• Current workload and State projects awarded.
• Proposed design approach for the project including design team and consultants.
• Recent experience with project costs and schedules.
• Construction administration capabilities.
• Proximity to and familiarity with the area where the project is located.
• Record of successfully completed projects without major legal or technical problems.
• Other factors which may be appropriate for the project.
