Long Creek WWTP East Blower Building Electrical Improvements

Mailed sealed proposals will be received by the City of Gastonia, N.C. in the office of the Lolita Roseboro, Project Administrator, 1300 N Broad Street, Gastonia, NC 28054. Hand delivered sealed proposals will be received in Multipurpose Room 100 of the Municipal Operations Center Building, 1300 N Broad Street, Gastonia, NC 28054 until 11:00AM, TUESDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2026 at which time and place all bids will then be publicly opened and all bid prices read aloud for the following:

LONG CREEK WWTP EAST BLOWER BUILDING ELECTRICAL IMPROVEMENTS

The City intends to award a Contract as soon as possible after the bid opening to allow for procurement of the materials. Actual construction will not begin until cooler weather in late 2026. No work will be allowed on the project until all materials are on-site.

The City of Gastonia Standard Specifications and City of Gastonia Standard Details shall apply to this project.

**Submission:** Mailed sealed proposals go to the office of Lolita Roseboro, Project Administrator, 1300 N Broad Street, Gastonia, NC 28054. Hand delivered sealed proposals are received in Multipurpose Room 100 of the Municipal Operations Center Building until **11:00AM, TUESDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2026**.

Bidders must be a licensed contractor in the State of North Carolina. It will be necessary for the contractor to place his contractor's license number on the envelope containing his bid.

No bid shall be considered or accepted by the City of Gastonia unless at the time of its filing the same shall be accompanied by the *Contractors Pre-Qualification Form* (in Form section of bid documents).

No bid shall be considered or accepted unless accompanied by a deposit of cash or certified check [...] in an amount equal to not less than **five percent (5%)** of the proposal. In lieu of making the cash deposit, bidder may file a bid bond executed by a corporate surety licensed under the laws of North Carolina.

The successful bidder shall be required to furnish bond [...] for the full amount of said contract for the faithful performance of the terms of said contract as required by Section 143-129 of the General Statutes of North Carolina.

Each bid should be accompanied by a letter from the bidder's insurance representative certifying that said insurer has read the insurance requirements as set forth in the General Conditions of the contract and will issue the required policies if awarded a contract.

The award of any contract will be made by the City of Gastonia, North Carolina, to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.

No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without the consent of the City of Gastonia, for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of closing bids.
