27-0002 Trees for Parks

The purpose of this request is to provide the City of Sioux Falls with a contract for the purchase of supplies, equipment, materials, or services as specified herein.

The City of Sioux Falls, SD, requests formal bids for Park Trees.

Minimum Specifications: Trees

• All items bid are to be delivered no earlier than April 1, 2027.
• Shipments shall be delivered to the Park Maintenance Shop, 2401 West 49th Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57105.
• All prices quoted are to be FOB destination; only FOB destination bids will be considered.
• If additional trees are requested after June 1, 2027, the City will purchase them at the contract price (bare root items must be potted). The additional purchases will be as trees are available.
• Items are to be bare root unless otherwise indicated.
• No substitution of species will be accepted on this proposal without prior approval.
• All items are subject to inspection at delivery. Items that do not meet the *American Standard for Nursery Stock* will be refused.
• Damaged, insect, or diseased stock will not be accepted.

To participate, you must be registered as a vendor in Bonfire. Register at siouxfalls.bonfirehub.com by selecting "Register" next to the login tab. Bids will be electronically submitted through Bonfire and will be received by Bonfire not later than **2 p.m., Central time, November 12, 2026**. Immediately thereafter, the bids will be publicly opened and read at 3 p.m., Central time, City Hall, 224 W. 9th St., Sioux Falls, SD 57104.

Telegraphic, fax, email, and hand-delivered responses will not be accepted unless specifically authorized in the terms and conditions of the solicitation.

The contract period shall be from January 1, 2027, through September 1, 2027.

No bid guaranty is required for this solicitation.

This request will be awarded by individual item within forty-five (45) days of the bid opening by written notice to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder whose bid meets the requirements and criteria set forth in the invitation for bids.

Awarded contractor shall provide a certificate of insurance to the City of Sioux Falls before a notice to proceed will be given. Workers' compensation: statutory limits, Employer's Liability not less than $1,000,000 each accident, $1,000,000 disease-policy limits. Commercial general liability: at least $1,000,000 per occurrence, $2,000,000 general aggregate, and $2,000,000 aggregate products and completed operations. Automobile liability: not less than $1,000,000 combined single limit each occurrence.
