The new West Campus Vivarium is projected to encompass approximately 68,890 gross square feet, featuring extensive cage wash areas, large and small capacity animal holding rooms, and versatile procedure rooms to accommodate a wide range of research activities. Research and administrative functions currently located in the Laboratory Animal Care Building (LARR) building will relocate to this new facility.

[...] This facility will be located off Agronomy Road, adjacent to the Office of the State Chemist building. The large buildable area on the site allows for future expansion for both the West Campus Vivarium and the Office of the State Chemist.
The planning amount for the project is **$135,000,000**, which includes an Amount Available for Construction Contract (AACC) of **$98,477,732**. Fees, furnishings, other work, miscellaneous expenses, and contingencies make up the balance of the Planning Amount.
