The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) is seeking information from the marketplace regarding vendor capabilities, recommended solutions, implementation considerations, and industry best practices to support the planning and deployment of a next-generation video wall environment that addresses current and future operational requirements.
Through this Request for Information, NTTA is seeking information from qualified respondents regarding potential approaches to replace the existing video matrix controller and cabling while preserving the existing video wall with 21 Mitsubishi VS-72WEF78 monitors as a near-term option. Responses should address compatibility with video management and advanced traffic management solutions.
This RFI is issued solely for information gathering, budgetary and planning purposes – it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future.
NTTA is interested in information regarding centralized, reliable, and scalable platforms for visualization, collaboration, monitoring, and control room operations, including options that transition from traditional hardware-based switching toward software-driven AV-over-IP or equivalent architectures. Respondents should identify recommended licensing models for the video wall, flanking displays, and audio system, including perpetual licensing or approved equivalents, and should describe how wall functions would continue to operate during any license renewal process.
The Safety Operations Center's existing video wall environment is constrained by aging hardware and software that may no longer align with current enterprise technology standards.
