Bluffdale Elementary School Roof Replacement

Jordan School District (JSD) is inviting qualified contractors (Contractors) to submit bids for the replacement of the roof at Bluffdale Elementary School in Bluffdale, Utah. The project consists of the removal of existing roof membrane and partial removal of insulation below and replacement with new single-ply membrane, in areas indicated on Drawings. The awarded Contractor will be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting the specifications and requirements of the bid documents.

Replacement of existing roof at Bluffdale Elementary School for the Jordan School District.

**Base Bid Scope:** Full tear-off of existing roofing system, including but not limited to membrane, cover board, insulation board, cant strips, flashings, boots, collars, termination bars, counterflashing, etc. All embedded and surface-mounted reglets to remain. Reapply sealant as required for a watertight installation. Replace rooftop kitchen mechanical units and associated curbs as defined in mechanical drawings and specifications. Remove existing abandoned roof penetrations such as conduits, exhaust vents, plumbing vent stacks, and aerial antennas, and repair roof decking prior to installation of new roof.

Submission

The preferred method of submitting a bid is using the U3P Bonfire website (https://utah.bonfirehub.com). If bidding using a hard copy and not through U3P Bonfire, then all bid documents must be delivered to the JSD Purchasing Department at 7905 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84088. Proposals must be sealed in an envelope addressed to Attn: Kurt Prusse, "Bid #27KP05 Bluffdale Elementary Roof Replacement". Faxed or emailed bids are not acceptable forms of submission and will not be considered as a valid response from a bidder.

Bonds and insurance

• A bid bond in the amount of **five percent (5%)** of the total bid price is **required**.
• Performance and payment bonds are required from the successful bidder. Bonding costs must be included in the bid price.
• Liability insurance (general and auto) of $1,000,000 each occurrence and $5,000,000 general aggregate is required, along with Workers' Compensation insurance as required by Utah state law.

Schedule

• Site work may commence as early as June 7, 2027. Work must be substantially completed by August 6, 2027.
• Liquidated damages are **$1,000** per calendar day.

Other

• Contract documents will be posted on U3P Bonfire.
• Bids will be on a lump sum basis.
• Payment: 5% of the earned amount will be retained from each monthly payment.
• Warranty: a minimum period of twelve (12) months.
