What the bid is for

In compliance with the requirements of Senate Bill 215, West Valley City seeks proposals to provide AEMT ambulance service on certain property owned and controlled by Northrop Grumman in the City.

Northrop Grumman currently provides AEMT ambulance service for employees on the property owned by Northrop Grumman and subject to the jurisdiction of the Northrop Grumman Fire Department. Due to the pending expiration of Northrop Grumman’s existing license, the City has issued this Request for Proposals to evaluate existing and alternative qualified emergency medical service providers to continue to provide AEMT ambulance service within this scope.

Scope

All proposals are to explain how the proposal provides each of these services. Please be clear and concise in explaining how your proposal meets these requirements.

The City’s review is limited to proposals to serve the Northrop Grumman property in accordance with the requirements of Utah Code Section 11-48-103.

  • The ideal proposal would offer AEMT-level ambulance service on the Northrop Grumman property.
  • The ideal proposal would include an ambulance located on-site at all times to ensure prompt care.
  • All proposals shall explain how the provider can meet or exceed the requirements of state law and the Utah BEMS.
  • The ideal proposal will ensure that all individuals on the Northrop Grumman property who are within the jurisdiction of the Northrop Grumman Fire Department shall have access to AEMT-level ambulance service.
