What the bid is for

The City is seeking proposals from qualified consultant teams to provide Professional Design Services for the Etnies Skatepark Improvements (25P03). The Prime Consultant may be either a civil engineering firm or a skatepark design firm and shall provide a team with demonstrated experience in public skatepark design, municipal civil engineering, and public art.

Scope

The Consultant shall build upon the preliminary concept designs and develop a single final concept that addresses the needs of the community and City. No additional public outreach is anticipated. The Project generally includes renovation of selected existing skatepark areas and features, construction of a new concrete pump track on the eastern portion of the site, public art design and integration, and associated site improvements identified in the preliminary concepts.

The completed Project is intended to accommodate all wheel nonmotorized use, provide additional opportunities for beginner and intermediate users, retain opportunities for advanced users, and maintain the facility as one of the largest public skateparks in California.

Renovations to the existing skatepark building that supports facility operations are being designed under a separate contract and will require coordination with this Project.
