Sole Source SISCO - Glades WWTF - EIM Electric Actuators

The City of Port St. Lucie intends to recommend the issuance of a Sole Source award to Harold Beck & Sons for Actuators used to control valves in Water and Wastewater facilities.

Spare valves are required for the Glades Wastewater Treatment Facilities aeration blower system. These valves are integral components of the plant’s process-air distribution and are essential for maintaining continuous and reliable treatment operations.

Because valve failures can result in operational interruptions, reduced treatment efficiency, or potential regulatory compliance issues, maintaining spare units on hand is critical. The valves also have extended manufacturing and delivery lead times. Procuring spares proactively ensures that the facility can respond immediately to equipment failures and avoid unplanned downtime that could impact service continuity.

We currently have 8 actuator valves that can only be purchased by SISCO.

Any responses received will be reviewed solely to determine whether a competitive procurement process is warranted. Responses will not be considered proposals, bids, or quotes.

Sole sources are required to be publicly posted by the Organization for seven (7) days business days not including holidays before approval.
