Electrical Maintenance Services - Industrial

The City of Sarasota is seeking a qualified Florida Licensed Electrical Contractor to provide technical and specialized industrial electrical maintenance services. The City of Sarasota Utilities Department operates and maintains water and wastewater treatment facilities and transmission and collection facilities within City limits and Sarasota County. These facilities range from 24-volt control systems to 13.2 kV (kilovolts) power distribution systems.

The Contractor must demonstrate its expertise to provide technical and specialized industrial electrical maintenance services which are outlined in these specifications. The Contractor must also have the knowledge, skills and ability to properly diagnose, repair, maintain, rehabilitate and construct any of the Utilities Department's electrical components and systems.

The City's focus is to continuously supply our customers with water and sewer without interruptions during all conditions. The table below contains more detailed descriptions of the facilities that will require industrial electrical services. Florida Power and Light is the electrical supplier for the City.

The contract will be on an "as needed basis" for a three (3) year contract period with the option to be renewed for two (2) additional one (1) year periods upon mutual consent of both parties. The City of Sarasota reserves the right, to be used at its discretion and when in the best interest of the City, to award these services to more than one Contractor.
