26-0126-2 Concrete Replacement at the Chatham County Aquatic Center

The purpose of this solicitation is to obtain competitive bids from qualified contractors to remove and replace the existing concrete located beneath the canopy entrance at the Chatham County Aquatic Center. The Chatham County Aquatic Center is located at 7240 Sallie Mood Drive, Savannah, Georgia 31406.

The drawings show a concrete slab beneath the canopy entrance with footings for canopy columns. Existing sidewalk slab is to be removed a maximum of 6" larger than the diameter of the footing. The slab is to be saw cut 2" deep at termination of traffic coating. All existing control joints are to be honored. Footings are 42" diameter drilled piers of 3000 PSI concrete, 4'-9" minimum depth, with 8#5 equal spaced in a circular pattern and #3 closed ties. All voids below the slab level are to be filled with concrete fill. The sidewalk slab is to be extended and a 1/2" PEJ isolation joint formed at the pre-engineered canopy columns.

Please notify the Procurement contact if you are unable to submit your bid online. Bids not submitted by the time and date specified will not be opened or considered.

All bidders are to read and complete attachments A THROUGH I, which are posted online in the required documents field. Failure to do so may result in the solicitation response being rejected as non-responsive.

The contract, if awarded, will be awarded to that responsible bidder whose bid/proposal will be most advantageous to Chatham County, price and other factors considered.

**Insurance:** Commercial General Liability minimum limits of $1,000,000 bodily injury and property damage per occurrence and annual aggregate; Workers' Compensation and Employer's Liability $500,000; Business Automobile Liability $1,000,000 combined single limit per accident. Builder's Risk is required for construction or installation contracts.

Bid prices are to be firm for a period of sixty (60) days from bid opening date. Goals established for this project are 30% combined MBE/WBE unless otherwise specified. Terms of contract: One-time Purchase.
