Coffee County 2027 LMIG - Resurfacing Improvements to Various Roads

Separate, sealed Bids will be received for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of Resurfacing Improvements to Various Roads in Coffee County, Georgia, for the County's Fiscal Year 2026 Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG) as awarded from the Georgia Department of Transportation until **10:30 AM (local time), Wednesday, November 18, 2026**, at which time bids will be opened and read.

The meeting will be held at the Coffee County Board of Commissioners' Office and will be opened to the public.

The Scope of Work Includes:

Patching, Leveling and Resurfacing Improvements to Various Roads (Total of 8.812 Miles)

All work on the project must be completed within **180 consecutive calendar days** of the notice to proceed.

The Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, 2021 Edition, any applicable 2024 Supplemental Specifications, 2025 Construction Standards and Details or any Special Provisions, contained within this contract will be applicable to this project. All materials, workmanship, testing, etc. shall meet the Georgia Department of Transportation Specifications.

Proposals can be mailed or delivered to the attention of Wesley Vickers, County Administrator for the Coffee County Board of Commissioners, 224 West Ashley Street, Douglas, Georgia 31533. Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. Coffee County Board of Commissioners may select a successful low bidder after evaluation of all bids.

All proposals shall be accompanied by a **Bid Bond** in favor of the Coffee County Board of Commissioners in the amount of at least **five percent (5%)** of the lump sum bid for the complete work. The Performance Bond shall be equal to **100 Percent (100%)** of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall be equal to **100 percent (100%)** of the Contract amount.

The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the Coffee County Board of Commissioners as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract.

Copies of the specifications may be obtained from Statewide Engineering, Inc., 516 East Ashley Street, Douglas, Georgia 31533, 912-384-7723 for **$100.00** per set or **$50.00** for emailed PDF Version (non-refundable). All Bidders must receive bid package from Engineer in order to be considered certified. Bids from non-certified Bidders will not be considered.

The Contractor shall be a current "Prequalified Contractor" with the Georgia Department of Transportation, Office of Contract Administration or shall be approved in writing by the Coffee County Board of Commissioners prior to bids being opened. A copy of the Contractor's *Notice of Contractor Qualification* or a copy of an approval letter must be submitted with the bid.

No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of the bids.
