Ware County CDBG FY 26 Street and Drainage Iimprovements

The Ware County Board of Commissioners will receive separate, sealed bids until 11:00am (local time), **Monday, November 23, 2026**, for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of Street and Drainage Improvements Pine Forest Road and Deerwood Road in Ware County, Georgia for the county's fiscal year 2025 Community Development Block Grant, Grant Number 25p-y-148-1-6809 as funded by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. Bids will be opened and read.

The Scope of Work Includes:

Street and Drainage Improvements for a total of 2.051 Miles

All work on the project must be completed within **180 consecutive calendar days** of the Notice to Proceed Date.

The Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, 2021 Edition, any applicable Supplemental Specifications, 2024 Edition, 2025 Construction Standards and Details, Special Provisions, or any other provision contained within this contract will be applicable to this project. All materials, workmanship, testing, etc. shall meet the Georgia Department of Transportation Specifications.

Proposals can be mailed or delivered to the attention of Mr. James Shubert, County Administrator for the Ware County Board of Commissioners, 305 Oak Street Waycross, Georgia 31501. Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. The Ware County Board of Commissioners may select a successful low bidder after evaluation of all bids.

All proposals shall be accompanied by a **Bid Bond** in favor of the Owner in the amount of at least **five percent (5%)** of the lump sum bid for the complete work. [...] Performance Bond shall be equal to **100 Percent (100%)** of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall be equal to **100 percent (100%)** of the Contract amount.

Copies of the plans and specifications may be obtained from Statewide Engineering, Inc., 516 East Ashley Street, Douglas, Georgia 31533, 912-384-7723 for $200.00 per set for full printed specification and plans, or $50.00 for specifications and plans emailed in pdf format (non-refundable). All Bidders must receive a bid package from the Engineer in order to be considered certified. Bids from non-certified Bidders will not be considered.

This agreement is for services related to a project that is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements. [...] No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of the bids.
