RFP New Drum Mulcher Attachment

Mexico Parks and Recreation is requesting a New Drum Mulcher Attachment. Purchasing a new drum mulcher attachment. The scope of the surface area will need to include the following features, but not limited to:

• Contractor will deliver the new drum mulcher attachment.
• Contractor representative will be on sight for initial inspection.
• The attachment will be hooked on sight when delivery to ensure the attachment works on our John Deere 331G skid steer
• Contractor will provide hard copy of warranties and manual.

Drum Mulcher Attachment OR EQUIVALENT TO:

1. New Drum Mulcher Attachment
2. Cutting Width: 60 Inches
3. Bolt on skid shoes
4. Cutting head deck will have a heavy-duty steel housing
5. Cutting drum constructed of 12" diameter, 1" wall tube, stub shaft mounts shall be 4" thick, machined and welded in place
6. Drum mulcher shall have a two-position heavy duty push bar with serrated edges on top
7. Cutting drum shall be equipped with depth control rings
8. Drum mulcher shall have 41 mulching carbide teeth or comparable
9. Teeth speed shall be of 11,290ft/min
10. Male and female case drain quick couplers
11. Equipped with lockable toolbox
12. Mulcher shall have a belt tension gauge to quickly check belt deflection for proper tightness
13. Quick attach compatible attachment plate for a skid steer
14. Hydraulic oil pressure and return system hoses shall be 1" internal diameter with 4000PSI working pressure, hoses shall be covered with a spiral hose guard
15. Hydraulic motor shall be a 2-speed bent-axis piston motor capable of 5800 continuous psi
16. Hydraulic hoses shall fit to proper length of our current piece of equipment John Deere 331G skid steer
17. Drum Mulcher be heavy duty model or comparable.
18. Complete Description of Warranty and Manual included (Hard Copy Upon Delivery)

**All sealed proposals are to be submitted by 3:00 p.m. on December 3, 2026.** Proposals received after this date and time will be considered null and void and will not receive further consideration.

Submittal requirements:

• Name of firm, address and contact information
• Ability to perform the service in a timely fashion, including staffing and the staff's familiarity of the service.
• Three (3) references of municipalities who have purchased a new drum mulcher attachment from you.

Evaluation criteria:

• Contractor meeting specs
• Customer Service of Contractor
• Estimated time to receive the new drum mulcher attachment
• Working relationship of firm with previous clients

The proposal shall include a total cost and a guarantee when the new drum mulcher attachment will be in our possession.
