Butte-Silver Bow Library Solar Project

Notice is hereby given that the City-County of Butte-Silver Bow is requesting sealed bids or proposals for Library Solar Project hereby invited and will be received at or prior to **4:00 p.m. November 10th, 2026** (Mountain Standard Time) at the Office of the Clerk & Recorder, City-County of Butte-Silver Bow, Second Floor, Room 208, Courthouse Building, 155 West Granite Street, Butte, Montana 59701.

Notice is hereby given that The City and County of Butte-Silver Bow will be accepting bids for Custom Solar Photovoltaic Incentive Project Butte-Silver Bow Library.

Contractor shall provide all materials including, but not limited to, the solar PV panels, mounting brackets and hardware, conduit and wire, an inverter, the electrical disconnect, lighting protectors, miscellaneous electrical equipment, and electrical enclosure(s). All material shall be new and, when applicable, shall meet the current Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 1547-2003 Standard and IEEE 1547a (Amendment 1).

Contractor shall provide all labor to complete the Project and integrate the system into the building’s electric panel. When completed, all installations shall meet current National Electric Code requirements and shall pass an electrical inspection by the state or local electrical inspector. Systems shall be sited to take full advantage of available solar input.

Contractor to provide manufacture’s written warranty and inspection report.

Contractor to provide As Built wire diagrams, submittal documentation.

Contractor is responsible for all permits, asbestos and installation inspections

**Submission:** Sealed bids must be delivered to the Office of the Clerk & Recorder, Courthouse Building, 155 West Granite, Butte, MT 59701. Bids will be opened at a meeting of the Butte-Silver Bow City-County Council of Commissioners in the Council Chambers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10th, 2026. No oral, telephonic proposals or modifications will be considered.

All bids must be accompanied by a **10% bid bond** or other bid security. These securities will be forfeited to the Butte-Silver Bow Government as liquidated damages if the requirements in the way of contract are not entered into within fifteen (15) days after the date of award by the Council of Commissioners.

Butte-Silver Bow shall require the successful Contractor to furnish a Performance Bond in the amount of **100%** of the contract price and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of **100%** of the Contract Price.

If a contract is awarded, it will be to the lowest responsible bidder submitting the lowest contract total bid, in accordance with the State of Montana.

This contract is scheduled to be awarded on November 18, 2026 with notice to proceed after. Substantial Completion of Work is to be completed by March 3, 2027. Final Completion is to be reached within TEN (10) days of Substantial Completion.

Bidder shall hold a proper Montana Certificate of Construction Registration Number for the class of work. Contractor shall be prequalified by Northwestern Energy to perform the services necessary for the completion of the Custom Solar Photovoltaic Incentive Project.
