The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (the "Authority" or "DART") is a public transportation agency providing an assortment of transportation services to 13 cities in Dallas, Texas, and Metroplex. Transportation services include bus, an electric light-rail system, a commuter rail line, high occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes, ride-share programs, curb-side services for the mobility impaired, and transit educational services.
There are houses and cases along the DART LRV right of way that house electronic equipment to control the safe movement of the trains. The build out area of the system is showing the need for major repairs due to rust and damage to the houses. The equipment needs some minor corrosion repairs and painting. The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment and personnel necessary to complete the corrosion control repair and painting instrument houses and cases. The work shall consist of:

This is a Two-Step Invitation for Bids. Bidders shall submit sealed and unpriced technical proposals in response to the statement of work (Exhibit H) for evaluation by the Authority prior to the deadline specified in Block 7 of "Solicitation, Bid and Award Form" DART Form 33.201. The Authority shall evaluate all technical proposals received and shall determine that each is either: acceptable; potentially acceptable (that is, reasonably susceptible of being made acceptable); or unacceptable.
Offers submitted shall remain firm for a period of 180 calendar days from the date specified in Block 7.
The SBC participation for this contract is 5 % SBC.
