Lake Point RFP Accounting Services

Lake Point, Utah (the “City”), invites qualified accounting firms or individual accountants to submit proposals to provide professional municipal accounting and financial services. The selected firm will provide ongoing accounting support, financial reporting, and additional accounting services as authorized by the City.

The City intends to select a qualified applicant based on demonstrated experience, professional qualifications, proposed services, and overall value. Cost proposals will be submitted and evaluated separately from the other proposal materials.

General Accounting Services

• Monthly and annual general ledger and accounting records maintenance and reconciliation.
• Accounts payable, receivable, and payroll support.
• Preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and GASB.
• Cash management and investment accounting support.
• Fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
• Budget preparation assistance and long-term financial forecasting.

Audit and Financial Reporting Support

• Preparation of schedules and workpapers for annual independent audit.
• Assistance with Single Audit requirements, if applicable.
• Assist with implementation of audit recommendations.

Compliance and Regulatory Reporting

• State of Utah financial reporting and filings.
• Sales tax, utility tax, and other statutory reporting.
• Assistance with bond, grant, and special revenue reporting.

Internal Controls and Advisory

• Review and recommendation of internal controls.
• Financial policy development and updates.
• Support City Council in its fiduciary and policy-making role.
• Special projects and financial consulting as requested by the City Council.

Lake Point reserves the right to engage other qualified accounting firms or financial professionals as needed and in the City's best interest.

Submittal Method

Proposal(s) shall be submitted electronically in **PDF format**, with the pricing section attached separately or in a distinct section so it may be separated from the remainder of the Proposal to the City Recorder Jamie Olson at info@lakepoint.gov. The email subject line should read: “Proposal - Contract Accounting Services - [Firm Name].”

Physical delivery of a sealed Proposal is also accepted at: Lake Point, 1528 Sunset Road, Lake Point, Utah 84074, Attn: City Recorder - Contract Accounting Services RFP.

Proposal(s) must be received by the City no later than **5:00 PM Mountain Standard/Daylight Time on Nov 13, 2026**. Late Proposal(s) will not be accepted or considered regardless of cause.

Proposals shall not exceed ten (10) pages. The proposed fee schedule shall be submitted separately and shall not count toward the ten (10) page limit.
