Lawn Weed Control Bid

Logan City School District is accepting price quotes from licensed, qualified professionals for the services of fertilizer and weed control at all school district properties starting spring of 2027.

Awarded contract shall be for the term of one year with annual contract renewal option at school districts discretion for a period of up to five years.

Granular fertilizer

• Granular blend fertilizers will be based on a blend of 20/30% nitrogen, 5% phosphorus, 10% potash, 50% slow release with 5% Iron.
• Two applications of granular blend fertilizer for all lawns at all school district facilities 54 acres.
• One additional application of granular fertilizer at Logan High playing fields (10 acres) Bridger Elementary play field (5.3 acres) Woodruff Elementary (7.36 acres).
• An application rate of no less than 43 LBS Nitrogen per acre will be required on all granular fertilizer applications.

Weed control

• Two applications of a 3-way weed control product such as Trimec 992 or equivalent on all turf at all school district facilities, 54 acres.
• An application rate of no less than 65 oz. per acre will be required.
• Two applications of a pre-Emergent weed control will be required at MLMS sand volley ball, LHS baseball and softball infields and warning tracks, shot put and sand volley ball.
• One application of a total vegetation control will be required at the perimeter of Bridger Elementary.
• A third application of a broad leaf weed control will be required at Bridger Elementary (7.1 acres) and Woodruff Elementary (7.36 acres).

Qualifications

Prospective firms must be licensed within the state of Utah and meet all regulations in order to legally conduct such business within Logan City in accordance with services outlined in this bid document. Must have verifiable experience, with references, of providing services on large facilities, 30 acres or more. Must carry a minimum of $2 million liability insurance.

Submission

Bids will be accepted until **November 23, 2026 4:00 P.M.** Bids shall be submitted in two parts. Part A- Pricing, Part B- Qualifications.

Packet part A- pricing portion must be delivered separately, mailed or hand delivered to Logan City School District Attn: Jared Black 101 W Center Street Logan, UT 84321

Packet part B-qualification packet must be mailed or hand delivered to Logan City School District Attn: Paul Guymon, 101 West Center Street Logan, UT 84321 and must contain list of verifiable experience, résumé of firm's qualifications, certificate of liability insurance and copies of licensure.

Review Process

Bids will be scored as follows;

• 20 points Packet Completeness
• 20 points Qualifications and references
• 20 points Experience
• 40 points Price

The lowest proposed costs will receive 100% of the points. All other points will be calculated as follows: (Lowest Proposed Costs/Individual Proposed Cost) x 40 Points
