26-10026-000 BLDG 536, ROOMS 42 & 43 CONVERSION, PROJECT# A24-00043

The Department of State Hospitals - Atascadero is currently seeking bids for Bldg 536, Rooms 42 & 43 Conversion, Project# A24-00043.

Contractor shall provide all necessary materials, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation, licenses, permits, prevailing wages, insurance, bonds and personnel to complete the Building 536, Room 41 & 43 Conversion.

Architectural Scope

DEMOLITION AND RENOVATION OF TREATMENT AND CLASSROOM AREAS TO PROVIDE PHYSICAL THERAPY SERVICE AND ECT SERVICES - WORK WILL INVOLVE:

1. CONSTRUCTION TO PROVIDE A SMALL SOILED HOLDING ROOM WITH CASEWORK FOR STORAGE SPACE AND HANDWASH SINK.
2. ADDITION OF CASEWORK WITH A HANDWASH SINK
3. ADDITION OF CASEWORK FOR STORAGE OF EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES
4. INFILL OF A DOOR AND WINDOWS
5. MINOR REPAIRS TO CEILING, WALLS AND FLOORING.

Mechanical Scope

1. RE-BALANCE AIRFLOW IN NEW AREAS.
2. PROVIDE NEW EXHAUST DUCTING IN NEW SOILED HOLDING ROOM AND PUBLIC TOILET ROOM.
3. PROVIDE NEW SUPPLY AND RETURN DUCTING IN HOLDING/PREP ROOM.

Plumbing Scope

1. DEMOLISH EXISTING SINK IN ACADEMIC ROOM.
2. PROVIDE FIVE (5) SINKS AND ONE (1) WATER CLOSET TO NEW AREAS.
3. PROVIDE NEW WASTE AND VENT PIPING.
4. PROVIDE NEW HOT WATER AND COLD WATER PIPING.

Electrical Scope

1. REPLACE LIGHT FIXTURES AND ASSOCIATED CONTROLS IN AREA OF WORK.
2. DEMOLISH POWER AND DATA RACEWAYS AND RECEPTACLES IN AREA OF WORK.
3. PROVIDE POWER AND DATA RACEWAYS AND RECEPTACLES IN AREA OF WORK.
4. PROVIDE POWER TO TRAP PRIMER CONTROL PANEL IN PLUMBING CHASE.
5. RELOCATE LOW-VOLTAGE DEVICES (E.G. SPEAKERS, ACCESS POINTS)

Fire Life Safety Scope

1. RELOCATE SPRINKLER HEADS AS REQUIRED

Bid forms, plans, specifications, addenda, and Bid Package will be available for download at http://www.caleprocure.ca.gov.

Contractors' State License Classification required to bid Project is B – General Building Contractor.

Submit on Lump Sum basis. Bids may be received by hand delivery or by mail. All hand delivery of bids is by appointment only. All mailed bids must be submitted under sealed cover and received by DSH by the bid date and time as indicated in the Key Action Dates table above or as modified by addendum.

Award of the Contract, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder whose Bid Form complies with all requirements prescribed.

Successful bidder shall furnish payment and performance bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price.

Bids will only be accepted from those Contractors having attended the MANDATORY bidder's conference.
