Glamping Operations at CB Smith Park

The Broward County Parks and Recreation Division is issuing a Request for Information that will be used to gather details of interested firms where a future Request for Proposal solicitation will we used to obtain a public-private partnership for a glamping facility at C.B. Smith Park located at 900 N Flamingo Rd, Pembroke Pines, FL 33028. The vendor shall operate the facility under a concession agreement with the County, while providing services that will enhance the guest experience.

Broward County Parks and Recreation is looking for interested firms to provide and operate a glamping facility at C.B. Smith Park. The operator is expected to provide marketing, labor, operations, guest services, and maintenance of the facility. Potential glamping amenities that can be provided by the operator in addition to the glamping accommodations are bikes, kayaks/canoes, hammocks, and rocking chairs. The operator will be responsible for the various collection methods of payment which include cash, mobile payment, and credit card systems. This project will be revenue-generating for the firm and will be funded entirely by the firm. No fees will be paid by County to the firm. All revenues obtained by the firm will be directly from the patrons using the glamping services by the firm. The benefit to the park is to activate underutilized areas and expand visitor access without additional staffing or capital investment. Broward County is interested in a long-term agreement with the possibility to expand into other Broward County Parks.

Project Site

CB Smith Park is approximately 299 acres and contains the Concert Green, Exhibit A Figure A-2, that Broward County is interested in transforming into a low-impact outdoor lodging/glamping area. The Concert Green is approximately a 5.3-acre island with one ingress/egress on the south side of the island.

If you are a provider of these services, please respond on Company letterhead providing the following information:

• Acknowledge your ability and interest in performing the services.
• Indicate whether or not your firm is able to provide the services as they are specified above.
• How much would your firm charge per glamping site?
• What additional information would you need to improve your ability to develop a proposal?
• Indicate if there are other related services that the County may want to consider that are comparable in nature to the specifications listed above. How would these items be priced?
• What type of licenses does your firm possess, if any?
• Does or can your firm provide any services in South Florida?
• Please provide a link to your firm's website, if applicable.
• Please provide any additional information that is pertinent to this RFI that you would like to share with Broward County.

Vendors are encouraged to provide comprehensive responses in the *Vendor Response Template*, including technical specifications, conceptual design(s), and any supporting documentation. Responses to this RFI are for informational purposes only and will not result in a contract award.
