Taylor Park Improvements- Phase 2

Sealed Proposal for Taylor Park Improvements- Phase 2 will be received by the City of Bloomingdale. Work to be performed under this Contract includes the following generally described items: Construct a new concrete basketball court to meet high school court requirements. Court to include concrete slab, new goals and new striping surface.

Project to include improvements to Taylor Park

• Construction of concrete basketball court to meet high school court requirements.
• New concrete slab with acrylic sports court paint for striping, acrylic or elastometric sports court coating system for concrete surface, and new goals to be included.

**Lump Sum Bid Price:** Price to be held for 90 to 180 days.

The work shall be completed within 30 calendar days and commence within (10) calendar days after the date of the Notice to Proceed. It is agreed that 7 days are included for adverse weather days. Upon receipt of notice that the work is ready for final inspection and acceptance, a final inspection will be completed by the City. When all work is found to be satisfactory and per the plans and specifications the City will issue a final acceptance.

Contractor to coordinate working hours with City Recreation Department to minimize disruption to the park.

Payment for the work completed under this Contract will be made at the lump sum bid. The lump sum shall include the furnishing of all labor, tools, equipment and materials and the performance of all work required to complete the project as indicated and specified above.

All bids are to be enclosed in a **sealed envelope** and addressed as follows: City of Bloomingdale 8 West Highway 80 Bloomingdale, Georgia 31302 ATTN: Sealed bid for "Taylor Park Improvements- Phase 2"

All bids will be reviewed by City staff and a recommendation will be made to the Mayor and City Council. The bid will be awarded at the City Council Meeting that is scheduled for December 5th at 7:00pm.

Bids received after the time indicated shall be returned unopened. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

The Contractor that is awarded the project shall secure and maintain such insurance policies as are required.

Failure to complete the work within the number of days stipulated, including any extensions given, shall result in liquidated damages in the amount of **$500 a day**. **10% retainage** will be held by the City pending satisfactory completion of the project.
