HWY-ME-26-008 Furnishing Environmental Response Services

The receiving of bids for FURNISHING ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSE SERVICES ON STATE HIGHWAYS AND RIGHTS-OF-WAY AREAS, ISLAND OF MAUI, PROJECT NO. HWY-ME-26-008, will begin as of the HIePRO Release Date.

The scope of work consists of providing response services to incidents posing an imminent threat to the public and or to the environment which involves gathering, identifying, categorizing (hazard categorization), segregating, packaging, transporting, manifesting, and disposing of hazardous materials on an open end, "as-needed" basis at the locations specified in the bid documents.

The requirement for services to be furnished by the Contractor will be on an indefinite quantity/ "as-needed" basis as called for in these specifications. Payment for services shall be paid by Purchase Order.

Bidders shall register and submit complete bids through HIePRO only. [...] Bidders shall submit and upload the complete proposal to HIePRO prior to the offer due date and time. Proposals received after said due date and time shall not be considered.

FAILURE TO UPLOAD THE PROPOSAL TO HIePRO SHALL BE GROUNDS FOR REJECTION.

The State shall affirmatively ensure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder [...].

Prior to the execution of the contract, the successful bidder shall file good and sufficient performance bond on the forms furnished by the Department. [...] Performance Bond: **$885,000.00**

The contract, contract performance bonds, and the *Certificate for Performance of Services* shall be executed by the successful bidder and returned within ten (10) days after the award of the contract or within such further time as the Director may allow after the bidder has received the contract for execution.
