AZ5727114R - Maintenance and Preservation of Environmental Assets in Cecil, Kent, and Queen Anne’s Counties (District 2)

This project, located in Cecil, Kent and Queen Anne’s Counties (District 2), is for the maintenance and preservation of environmental assets including the SHA District 2 Office and the Centreville, Chestertown and Elkton Maintenance Facilities.

Environmental Assets include but are not limited to landscape planting beds, individual trees, turf areas, stream sites and wetlands within MDOT facilities and right-of-ways, easements held by MDOT, and areas under agreement with MDOT.

**ONLINE ELECTRONIC BIDS** for the project(s) listed below will be received by the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) at https://www.bidx.com/maryland/main until **12 Noon Eastern time** on the date specified below for the Bid Opening, at which time they will be opened.

All bids must be submitted (electronically) at the Bid Express website above in proper form. **No paper bids will be accepted for this Contract.**

This procurement has been designated for a Small Business Preference under COMAR 21.11.01.05.

In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than **$100,000.00**. However, bids **$100,000.00** and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00.

The MDOT SHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
