CMPD Steele Creek EV Charger Additions

Installation of four Dual Port Level II, 80 amp EV chargers and all required power distribution equipment as required to serve the chargers. In addition, the city will provide provisions for five future Level II chargers including conduits and circuit breakers for the future circuits to feed these chargers. The scope also includes adding one 200 KW DC fast charger and required electrical. All other equipment is existing to remain. Chargers are owner provided and contractor installed.

**Bids must be submitted electronically** through the Procurement Portal (https://charlottenc.bonfirehub.com). All bid documents shall be submitted in accordance with article § 4.3 SUBMISSION OF BIDS of SECTION 00 20 00 – INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS.

Bidding documents, which includes a downloadable copy of one (1) Project Manual and one (1) full-size Drawing set, are available for free from the Procurement Portal at https://charlottenc.bonfirehub.com.

This project contains Restricted Data as defined by the City of Charlotte. Bidders must complete and sign a *Confidentiality Agreement* and submit the form to the Contact person listed prior to being authorized to obtain the bidding documents from the Procurement Portal.

General contractors submitting bids on this project must have license classification for Building Contractor. Bidders must be properly licensed under North Carolina state law to perform the work.

A **5% bid security** is required with each bid that equals or exceeds **$300,000**. Bid security shall be submitted in accordance with article § 4.2 BID SECURITY of SECTION 00 20 00 – INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS.

The insurance requirements are listed in AIA Document A201-2017 – General Conditions of the Contract for Construction Article 11: Insurance and Bonds.

The estimated cost of this Project is **$280,000 - $600,000.00**.

A walkthrough of the project site will occur directly after the pre-bid meeting.

This project is subject to the requirements of the City's Charlotte Business INClusion (CBI) Program. SBE = 2%.
