Becks Run Road Slope Stabilization Sta 104+60

The work consists of the installation of two rows of vertically-aligned steel pipe dowels socketed into bedrock with reinforced concrete wall cast around the upper portion of the outside row of dowels, topped by a reinforced concrete cap cast atop both rows of dowels, to stabilize and support of a 151-foot length of Becks Run Road in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, PA.

The Department of Public Works will receive separate and closed Bids for the **BECKS RUN ROAD SLOPE STABILIZATION STA 104+60 PROJECT**, **COUNTY PROJECT NO: 5024-0102**, City of Pittsburgh.

The work consists of the installation of two rows of vertically-aligned steel pipe dowels socketed into bedrock with reinforced concrete wall cast around the upper portion of the outside row of dowels, topped by a reinforced concrete cap cast atop both rows of dowels, to stabilize and support of a 151-foot length of Becks Run Road in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, PA. The scope of work also includes structure mounted guide rail attached to the concrete cap, roadway paving, and the installation of erosion and sedimentation control measures.

Project completion is to occur by **June 15, 2027**.

Bidding requirements

The County requires pre-qualification of bidders, including subcontractors, as specified in Section 102.01 of Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Specifications, 408/2026. You may not withdraw your bid for a period of **Sixty (60) days** after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids.

Include the following documents with the Bid Form:

• Bid Security - certified check or surety company bond on County's form in the amount of **five (5%) percent** of the Bid.

The minimum levels of participation for this project are MBE **13%** and WBE **2%**.

Insurance

Commercial/Comprehensive General Liability insurance at a combined single limit of **$2,000,000** per occurrence. Automobile Liability insurance at a combined single limit of **$1,000,000** per occurrence. Worker's Compensation Insurance as required by law.

The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act applies to this Project.
