2026 SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT PROGRAM (EAST OF LARKIN)

The City of Joliet, Illinois, does hereby invite sealed bids for: 2026 SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT PROGRAM (EAST OF LARKIN).

The intent of the contract is to remove and replace sidewalk. The contract shall work directly with the City on schedules, limits, and final documentation.

The project consists of various areas provided by the City and as described within this document, within the City of Joliet, Will/Kendall County, Illinois.

All quantities provided in the Schedule of Prices are estimated values to establish unit prices. The list provided and associated map if for reference only.

Due to limited funding, the contractor shall not out pace the work and shall provide the route of work to be completed at least two weeks prior to any construction. Locations shown on the map in blue need to be prioritized.

The Contractor shall respond to a City request within 48 hours and complete items provided within three (3) weeks of said request. Once excavation of elements have occurred, replacement of each element shall occur no later than seven (7) days.

All framed/excavated areas shall be backfilled and landscaped with seven (7) days of structural element being installed.

The contract shall be completed by **June 4, 2027**. After the completion date, an additional 20 working days will be allowed to complete punch list items.

All bids must be submitted in Euna Procurement (Bonfire) by **10:00** local time on **November 19, 2026**, at which time they will be opened and publicly read aloud in Conference Room # 2 City Hall, 150 W Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL 60432.

All bids must be submitted online through the Euna Procurement (Bonfire) portal, and must follow the exact order of documents as specified.

All questions must be submitted exclusively through Euna Procurement (Bonfire). Questions submitted via email or phone will not be answered.

Bid security: each bidder shall provide bid security in the amount of at least Ten percent (10%) of its base bid, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond issued by a surety licensed to do business in the State of Illinois. Personal checks and Company checks are not acceptable bid security. Performance Security: 100%. Prequalification Necessary: NO.

The Contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder based on criteria as set forth in the City of Joliet Purchasing Ordinance.

This contract is eligible for the local bidder preference ordinance.

Insurance: General Liability Insurance of One Million Dollars ($1,000,000), and Workers Compensation Insurance in the amount required by Illinois law. The City of Joliet, along with its officers and employees, must be named as additional insured on a primary and non-contributory basis.

This Contract shall be subject to the provisions of the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) to the extent required by law.
