This document is a Request for Bid (RFB) for the above labor services.
The CONTRACTOR shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, materials, tools, apparatus, equipment, and conveyances, mobilization and demobilization as necessary to provide for tree trimming and woody vegetation control of the entire right-of-way of multiple 230kV and 345kV transmission lines from substation to substation. The work under this Contract shall include but not be limited to; tree and brush removal, tree trimming, side trimming, disposal of waste and debris, application of herbicides/pesticides, cutting and chipping, and mowing. Tree and vegetation control for the 230kV lines shall be maintained 75 feet on each side of center line. Tree and vegetation control for the 345kV lines shall be maintained 100 feet on each side of center line (clearance width). [...] Trees located outside the clearance widths stated above (Fall-In Trees) that could interfere with the operation of the line shall also be cut. [...] All stumps and mowed areas shall be treated with herbicides/pesticides.
Vegetation control shall be accomplished by cutting or mowing all woody growth and applying herbicides/pesticides to the stumps to prevent re-growth. [...] In either case, the CONTRACTOR shall obtain an efficacy of at least 95% control of all woody vegetation for the treatment to be considered successful.
The CONTRACTOR shall provide all material including herbicides/pesticides required for this Contract.
