Term Agreement with 4 Options to Renew - Fiber Optic Maintenance, Repair and Modernization for IT, Transportation, and Water Departments

The specifications and technical provisions contained in this document constitute, at a minimum, the functional requirements associated with the City's fiber optic network. The specifications and technical provisions cover the requirements for singlemode and multimode, all dielectric and armored, fiber optic cable for aerial and conduit installation within the City of Garland. [...] The City of Garland maintains fiber optic cable systems to support the IT Department, Traffic Department, and Water Department.

The purpose of this document is to establish pricing for scheduled fiber optic work of the fiber optic network owned by the City of Garland. All work performed will be in accordance with Term Contract Specifications.

Furnish, install, splice, field terminate, and test the fiber optic cables.

In addition, the specifications and technical provisions cover the following:

- Preparation of Existing Conduit and Ground Boxes

[...] Prepare conduits, ground boxes, or manholes; replace conduits, ground boxes, or manholes, when necessary; replace conduit fittings with junction boxes; replace damaged ground box or manholes covers; adjust ground box or manholes covers; install pull lines in conduits; install cable racks in ground boxes or manholes.

[...] Perform 4 OTDR tests. They are as follows:

• Acceptance test
• Post installation test
• Post termination test
• Final end-to-end test

[...] Provide 10 complete sets of operation and maintenance manuals [...]

[...] In addition to any warranty required by TxDOT specifications, the CONTRACTOR shall provide a minimum two-year workmanship warranty for fiber optic installation, splicing, termination, testing, and repair work performed under this contract.

Please acknowledge the City of Garland's Term and Conditions in the "Attributes" section. This is for an Initial Term Contract with four (4) renewal options. This bid is exempt from any transaction fee.

This is an evaluated bid. Please pay close attention to the evaluate critieria. Contractors must submit a bid on all items. NO partial bids will be accepted, and will be deemed non responsive.

Materials shall be billed at actual cost plus the contractor's proposed markup, not to exceed 10%.
