(RFQ) 27-23, Engineering and Design Services for Gardner Road Bridge

Henry County is soliciting statements of qualifications from qualified consultants to provide professional engineering services for the evaluation, design, permitting, and preparation of construction documents for the Gardner Road Bridge Improvement Project. The project consists of evaluating the existing hydraulic, structural, and roadway conditions at the Gardner Road stream crossing and developing engineering recommendations for replacing the existing culvert crossing with a bridge structure. The project is intended to improve roadway resiliency, increase hydraulic capacity, reduce flooding potential, enhance public safety, and provide a long-term transportation solution.

The selected consultant shall furnish all labor, personnel, equipment, materials, and professional services necessary to complete the work described herein

Submission

Sealed qualifications will be accepted until the due date and time. Any late submittals received will not be considered. Submittals may be delivered by mail, common carrier, or in person to Henry County Purchasing Department, 140 Henry Parkway, McDonough, GA 30253. Electronic bids are to be submitted through the County’s eProcurement Portal at (https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/henryga). Emailed or faxed submittals are not acceptable.

The following items are to be submitted:

• One (1) unbound clearly marked “Original,” of the qualification documents
• One (1) bound complete copies (not to exceed a 1/2” capacity ring binder) identical to the original qualification documents, and
• One (1) digital version in PDF format on a USB flash drive identical to the original qualification documents.

Contract Term

The time period of the agreement, if any is formed from this RFQ, will be determined after the review and evaluation of the Time Line Schedules submitted by the successful Consultant.

Insurance

Evidence of insurance must be provided to the Purchasing Department, 140 Henry Parkway, McDonough, Ga. 30253, within five days of execution of this contract and prior to commencing operations under this Contract.
