Match Scores
How the 0-100 match score is calculated from your past performance, and how to raise it.
How the Score Is Calculated
Each opportunity gets a score from 0 to 100 by comparing it with the contracts in your past performance - their NAICS and PSC codes, agencies, set-asides, states and keywords. It is a transparent, rules-based calculation, not an AI guess, and the badge shows which criteria matched.
| Criterion | Weight |
|---|---|
| NAICS code | 30 |
| PSC code | 25 |
| Agency | 15 |
| Set-aside | 15 |
| State | 10 |
| Keywords | 5 |
Scores are banded Excellent, Good, Moderate, Low or Minimal. Filter the list to 50%+, 70%+ or 90%+ to see only the best fits.
Raising Your Scores
Scores only know the contracts you have recorded. Add your past performance - on the Business Profile tab in Federal Opportunities or in the Company Library, which hold the same records - with each contract's NAICS and PSC codes, agency, set-aside and place of performance. With nothing on file there is nothing to match against.
