Three Canvases
The Workspace tab has an Outline, a Proposal and a Scratchpad, each with its own pages, header and status. The Outline and Proposal can be locked so nobody edits them by accident.
What the Editor Does
- Pages - letter-size pages with an editable header and footer and a live "Page X of Y".
- Federal numbering - headings number themselves (1., 1.1, 2.1.1), the same way in the editor, the outline pane and the Word export.
- Styles - fonts per role (headings, body, tables, header), sizes and heading colors, set once for the document.
- Content - tables with shaded headers, images by paste or drag and drop, colored callout boxes, links and page breaks.
- Review - Word-style comments, and Suggesting mode, which records insertions and deletions for accept or reject.
- Tasks - turn selected text into a task for a teammate.
- Saving - changes save automatically and merge in real time, so a newer version from a teammate is never dropped.
